Château Laclaverie

The Family Crus

This old vineyard is dominated by a square tower built by the English during the 100 Years War. This vineyard was rebuild during the 1970’s. This property of which 1985 was the first vintage, belongs to Nicolas Thienpont and is regarded as one of the best value of the appellation.
A variety of different soils (marne and limon prebbles) and a careful choice of Merlot and Cabernet, give the wine of Château Laclaverie body, finesse and balance. The wine’s delicate perfumes are expressive from the start and structure ensures excellent ageing ability.
